No Pass No Drive Law

According to the Kentucky Revised Statue 159.051, any 16 or 17 year-old student who becomes academically deficient or deficient in attendance will be reported to the Transportation Cabinet for driver’s license revocation.

A student is academically deficient if he or she has not received passing grades in at least four courses, or the equivalent of four courses taken in the preceding semester.

A student is deficient in attendance when he or she drops out of school or has nine or more unexcused absences for the preceding semester. Suspensions are considered unexcused absences.

All students must present a verification of enrollment to apply for a driver’s license, intermediate license, or learner’s driving permit.  In addition, all students must present an original or certified copy of the student’s birth certificate and a signed social security card.

To Request a Permit Verification Form, you must have your permit test already scheduled, you can do that by clicking here , once that is done please fill out the following information and submit.  The form can be picked up in the Counseling Office, please allow 24 hours to complete.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Due to moving schools over the summer, please make sure to submit requests with a minimum of 10 days for processing to guarantee you will have the required paperwork to take permit tests. Mrs. Rutledge will contact you as soon as the form is complete to let you know when and where the completed form can be picked up.
