• Auditions for the fall play The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza will be Today and Tomorrow September 1 after school in the auditorium.  Any SCHS student can audition, you do not need to have any experience.  See Mrs Marshall in room 30 for an audition packet.

Attention Juniors & Seniors! Prom tickets will be sold outside the cafeteria during 3^rd block through May 14th. Tickets are $40/student with a 1 guest max. Guest forms must be completed prior to purchasing a ticket if you plan on bringing a guest. These forms can be found in Ms. Shaw‘s room (14), the front office or at the ticket sales table. Cash or check only. If you are gone during 3^rd block, please contact Ms. Shaw regarding a time to schedule an appointment to purchase tickets.

Anyone interested in trying out for girls’ basketball or girls golf next year please come to the front office and sign up!

Reminder, boys’ soccer open fields are on Fridays from 6-8pm.

–National Honor Society Invitations Are Out! So please check your email! If you received one, you’re eligible to apply for this prestigious organization.

What to do next….Carefully review your invitation and complete your application.  The Deadline is Friday, May 1st by end of school day. Students may turn their completed applications to Mrs. Keller in Room 320.

–Seniors!  Don’t forget to vote for Senior Superlatives, voting closes this Friday

–Girls basketball open gym today starting at 4:00.

–Open field for boys’ soccer will be every Friday from 6-8pm.

–Any female golfer that has an interest in playing on the golf team please come to the front office and sign up through the end of the week.

–If you are interested in trying out for cheerleading, swing by the front office or Mrs. Wright’s room 332 to grab a tryout packet. Mandatory clinics are in the gym at 6:00, and tryouts are this Friday at 6:00 in the gym.

–Readapalooza is this Wednesday!  If you signed up please do not forget to come to the library during advisory. Come read and chat about the book and eat some good snacks.

We’re collecting items for birthday cake boxes! Donate by scanning the QR code to sign up for items like cake mix, 9×13 tins, icing, candles, and sprinkles. Donations go to our partner elementary school and YSC to support local families. Drop off by 4/17 in rooms 36 and 38. Each item earns you an entry to win prizes. 

Juniors & Seniors! Prom is May 16th, from 7–11 PM at Kroger Field (Longship Club). Guest forms are in the front office or Ms. Shaw’s room (14) and must be completed before buying tickets. Tickets go on sale April 13th during lunch for $40. See Ms. Shaw with questions.

Only 2 days left until the Scott County Job Fair! Employers will be on campus looking for the students ready to work. Bring a resume, dress professionally, and be ready to introduce yourself!

Congratulations to our SCHS fishing team! They are state champions for the Student Angler Federation.

–Join us for the SCHS Band fall celebrations on Thursday, October 16^th!

The band booster chili cook off will be at 5:30 in the cafeteria.

Followed by the fall concert at 7:00 in the auditorium.

Audience members are welcome to dress in Halloween costumes!

-Join us Wednesday, October 15^th from 6-8 PM for Trunk or Treat fun! Many clubs and sports will be set up with fun games and activities.  $3 or 3 cans for admission.

Transylvania University will be here today for our lunch room college visit.

Interested in joining the Swim Team? Today is the last day for open swims at the Pavilion from 8:00–8:45 PM and then official tryouts are Friday from 5:00–5:45 PM.

Interested in Joining DECA? The next DECA meeting is Friday during Advisory in Mr. Logan’s room. You must have a Priority Pass to attend. Pick one up from a DECA officer or Mr. Logan before Friday Advisory!

Tonight, is Senior Night for the Boys’ Soccer team. Come out and support our seniors!

The Homecoming Dance will take place this Saturday, September 20th from 7-10 pm in the SCHS Gym. Guest forms can be found in Ms. Shaw’s room and the front office. Guest forms must be completely filled out before purchasing tickets. Today is the last day to purchase tickets during lunch!

We will be having a pep rally this afternoon for our Homecoming game tonight!
