Today in Black History we acknowledge our own, assistant principal, Artie Trent. Trent was a 2000 graduate of Scott County High School. He played on Coach McKee’s initial football team. After high school Trent spent four years in the US Marines and then went on to earn a degree in education from Georgetown College. Trent taught and coached at Caudill Middle in Richmond, Ky for several years. Trent returned home in 2019 and became an assistant football coach at Georgetown Middle School before accepting a teaching position in special education, elevating to assistant principal, and becoming linebacker coach at his Alma Mata.
