Today is the last day to audition for the fall play. Auditions are open to any SCHS student.  Packets are available in room 30.

Homecoming Court voting will take place this Friday, September 5th, during advisory.

The Homecoming Dance will take place on September 20th from 7-10 pm in the SCHS Gym. Guest forms can be found in Ms. Shaw’s room (14) and the front office. Guest Forms will need to be completely filled out, including a signature from ANY SCHS principal and the guest school’s principal when purchasing tickets. Students can purchase no more than 2 tickets and sales will be from September 15th-19th during lunch. Please see Ms. Shaw or Mrs. Wilson if you have any questions!

Do you like technology? Solving problems, creating digital art, and/or competing in technology-based competitions? If you said yes, then STLP is for you! Scan the QR codes around the building to submit your interest for more information and stop by Mr. Suer’s room 170 if you have any questions.

Picture Day is next week in the auditorium. Everyone needs to have a picture taken to receive a school ID!

• September 9^th will be ECS students at ECS.
• September 10^th will be Red day English classes.
• September 11^th will be Blue day English classes.
• If you do not have an English class, come by anytime on the 10^th or 11^th.

-Students that are involved in E-Sports, there is a meeting in Mr. Logan’s room today after school.

-Open workouts for baseball will be Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 5:15 in the weight room.

-Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will have our first meeting of the year THIS Friday starting at 8am in Mr. McCormick’s room #164.

EVERYONE is welcome to join us – you don’t have to be an athlete or even a Christians. Come join us for a time of food, friends, and encouragement from The Bible!

-The first Key Club meeting will be held September 4th, from 4-5:00 after school in the library. We will have pizza and snacks and be celebrating our new officers and planning our first service project for them to sign up for.

Mark your calendar seniors! Senior Sunrise will be held this Friday, August 22^nd. Bring a blanket, camera, and celebrate the start if your senior year!

Gifted & Talented dance tryouts will be held until August 28^th . Please pick up a packet from the front office. A permission slip will be included and due back August 28^th!

The first interest meeting for the Academic Team will be Monday, August 25th from 3:50-4:50 pm in Mrs. Anderson’s room 6.

Are you a sophomore, junior, or senior interested in being on student council? We will have an interest meeting after school on Wednesday, August 20th, in Ms. Shaw’s room (room 14). Unable to make the meeting? See Ms. Shaw or Mrs. Wilson for more information!

Volunteer baseball workouts will be on Thursday, August 21st from 4-5:15.

All library books are due by this Friday, May 9th!! With the exception of books for Readapalooza. See Mrs. Musick in the library if you have any questions regarding lost books.

The Cardinal Players will be presenting the Spring Musical, Beetlejuice Jr this week Thursday and Friday at 7:00 and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00.  Tickets are $12 at the door, but cast and crew are selling them at a discount of only $5 for students through Wednesday.  Get your tickets now, you don’t want to miss this fun show!

This week and next week, we are holding a Pet Supply Donation Drive to support the animals affected by the recent severe weather in Kentucky. You can drop off donations at the entry by the band and outside the front office. We’re collecting items like pet food, puppy pads, clumping litter, toys, gently used blankets, and towels. All donations will go directly to the Humane Society to help animals in need!

SCHS Cap and Gown Pick Up is Monday, April 21st!

Class of 2025 seniors! Herff Jones will be here on Monday, April 21st. From 11:00am-2:00pm in the library to distribute cap and gowns and any other graduation items ordered.

BCTC advisors will be here Wednesday, April 23rd from 8:30 to 3:30. Students planning to take BCTC Dual Credit courses either online or off campus next year should sign up in the counseling office for an advising appointment to register for classes. Spots are limited, so do it today!

In honor of Lucas Ratcliff, we are hosting Lucas’s Lego Drive. Please donate new Lego sets and the donations will be given to the Ronald McDonald House. Donations will be collected in the front office until May 23, 2025.

We are putting a new reward system in place for the last 9-weeks of school.  It will focus on ZERO tardies, ZERO unexcused absences, and ZERO write-ups.  Tickets will be given throughout the next 9-weeks that you can use for amazing treats and celebrations!  The challenge will begin as soon as we return from Spring Break so make sure you have zero tardies, zero absences, and zero behavior referrals.

Congratulations to Olivia Brangers on the archery team for her 3^rd place finish at KHSA 8^th regional tournament. This earns her a spot in the state tournament next month. Overall the girl’s team finished 3^rd and the boy’s team finished 7^th in the regional tournament.

Scott County High School has sent someone to the state tournament every year since 2017.

Prom tickets are on sale until Friday April 11^th. Ticket are $40. Guest forms are in Ms. Shaw’s room (room 14) and are also in the front office. Guest forms will need to be completed and turned in when purchasing tickets. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Shaw.
